weekend highlights
-yucky yasuko arrived! so far we've had pho, sushi, gamja tang, amazing (and cheap) yum cha and 2nd cup hot chocolate. still on the list: street meat, greek, ethiopian, niagara falls taffy and persian
- the textile museum was really great. the thor hansen exhibit is worth the price of admission alone. also, i got the funniest book ever:
the fine print says "14 projects to make with duct tape"
bwahahahah!! i saw the page for the apron and i almost burst out laughing in the gift store. other projects include a wallet, baseball hat and cellphone holder.
-i found out yasuko made a kimono for her graduation! craaazy! it took her about a year and so that's why she wanted to visit the textile museum. awesome.
-the jgct board approved glenna's proposal, so we'll be the first non-profit organization in Canada participating in the PJs for Preemies programme! basically we're making tiny tiny clothes for preemies during their stay in GTA hospitals. it's going to be a painfully cute undertaking. there are rumours of a write up in Canadian Living magazine floating around too...oooo!
-the ministry and missions fairs are coming together slooooowly...SO sloooowly. i finally had time to sit down and plan out the schedules, materials, prizes of both on friday since the jazzy jeff outing didn't happen as scheduled (hahaha, i still can't believe my luck kathy). i foresee a future filled with heaps of cardboard, top hats, bullhorns, baseball jerseys, cotton candy, popcorn carts and kids jacked up on sugar running around with plastic baseball bats and balloons. sigh.
-fancy japanese cookies from yucky. oh yummmmm.
-both feet made it on to the glass floor at the CN Tower for a record time of .65792849 of a second. I am FEARLESS.
-i say goodbye to brampton in t-minus 8 days, hey y'all to atlanta in 14, and hello to harlequin in 17. foooooooooooo. i've got a headache.

it's funny cuz i was dtown on friday but my friend started to feel really sick so we had to trek back up to markham so she could crash. i was so disappointed about missing the show cuz you and shaun have raved about jazzy jeff. i am mad that i missed seeing real live cougars in their natural habitat though.
