"surpraaz"
Day 17 of Rainy Season:
-am doing incredibly well. rain has managed to be practically non-existent. sunny days forecasted for this entire week. am beside myself with glee.
i noticed that I now sometimes drop particles. and my sentences are becoming. really choppy. because i am just sticking words together. word words. because that is how i speak. japanese.
laura and i went to nara yesterday, our "country day," and it was awesome. we took the JR there, and so beautiful... the one other time i`ve been to deer country was via the Kintetsu line, which will now be blacklisted since they don`t have the captain chair cars or the spectacular scenery. i felt so relaxed. we didn`t do the whole get-off-at-a-random-stop-and-search-for-rice-fields plan, but i will definitely get around to doing that before i leave. Japan is really beautiful. sigh. and then to top it off, we had the promised salaryman dinner at Yoshinoya and watched SMAPxSMAP. the perfect day =)
HfH still seems kind of surreal.. i had a mini anxiety attack while waiting for the bus on friday. i just feel really really horribly unprepared...my only contact with this group is via email and the message board, and so i can`t get that immediate reassurance/assistance with things. i haven`t emailed any of my aunties or uncles in malaysia or indonesia yet... no tickets or anything. eeeeeeeeee!! sigh.
